A late summer stay in Brittany, France
Brittany, France has been on our summer travel list for a while now, so we were excited to hear that a new hotel, Les Bassans, will be opening in June. The hotel, restaurant and spa will be located in the former Manoir du Sphinx – a former hotel and castle-like facade overlooking the Pink Granite Coast in Perros-Guirec. Les Bassans is part of Les Domaines de Fontenille, a collection of boutique luxury hotels that honor the heritage of stunning locations in Spain and France. The group was recently acquired by LVMH. Expect 25 sea-view rooms, a spa inspired by marine elements, and a restaurant that looks like a 1930s ocean liner. See you in Brittany!

Where to grab a drink in Marseille
Speaking of France, if you're planning a trip to Marseille this summer (see Tuba Club in Week No. 83!), be sure to stop by Bar de la Relève, a streetside local restaurant and bar that has been around for over 80 years. With such rich history and stories woven into every corner, the owners feel that the word 'institution' is more fitting than just 'bar.' But one thing everyone can agree on is that it’s a no-fuss spot. Expect high-quality food and drinks, affordable prices, a beautiful terrace, and an all-around perfect place to visit any time of day, whether it’s in the morning for coffee, a bite for lunch, or a sunset drink that carries you late into the night. Above the restaurant/bar/institution—whatever you want to call it—you’ll find a more recent addition: a colorful, sunny, and subtly fifties-styled four-room hotel. Located in the trendy Endoume district, it seems like a perfect place to hang out with a good mix of locals and tourists.
